The Cakes for Red October

October was such a fun month! Halloween is one of our favorite holidays and we love when clients have really funky and imaginative ideas for cake. We had a mother-(or mummy)-to-be request a spooky baby shower cake complete with Jack-o-lanterns, bats and of course, mummies.

Here's Kaysie making the "mummy" out of modeling chocolate
Note the scrumptious pumpkin spice latte in the background from the wonderful Metropolitan Market (they make the lattes with
REAL pumpkin puree om nom nom nom)

My little modeling chocolate pumpkin patch

All done!

As many of you know, we make a lot of wedding cakes but that's not all we do! Our friends down at F5 Networks made their one billionth (yes, billion with a B!) dollar this year and thought "what better way to celebrate than with cake!?!" We were honored that they chose The People's Cake to make cakes to send to all of their clients throughout Seattle. Congratulations to everyone at F5 Networks!

Who doesn't get excited when they see cake AND balloons?
It was amusing trying to get those balloons to cooperate on a windy day :)

We were seeing red at the bakery!

I was caught red handed (for several days)

Never a dull day at The People's Cake :)

Viva la Cake!
